Adriel and Tony kick things off with a weekend of grouse and deer hunting, including some surprisingly good grouse numbers and plenty of discussion about hunting with .22 rifles. The guys also look at a CBA Scout single-shot rifle, hunting setups, deer encounters, shot placement and the challenges of hunting through thick brush.
The conversation moves into upcoming three-gun and shooting matches, including events in Alberta, Calgary and Ontario, before getting into the news that Garmin has acquired Applied Ballistics.
There is also a gear discussion covering affordable rifle slings, hunting boots, insulation, breathability and what makes a good boot for hunting in cold Alberta weather. The guys also talk about primers and shotgun ammunition before answering listener questions.
The show wraps up with listener emails and YouTube comments, including discussion about pump-action firearms, pistol ergonomics, the Olympic handgun exemption process in Canada, upcoming events and a growing problem with firearms-related videos being removed from YouTube.
